SBI Mutual Fund, one of the leading mutual fund houses in the country has announced the appointment of Mr. Ashwani Bhatia as the MD & CEO of SBI Funds Management Pvt Ltd.
Ashwani Bhatia takes over as the MD & CEO, from Anuradha Rao who now returns to State Bank of India (SBI) as Dy Managing Director.
A B.Sc. and MBA graduate, Bhatia started his career with State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in 1985. Over his tenure of 33 years with the State Bank of India, Bhatia has traversed through various functions and assignments possessing rich experience in various facets of commercial banking such as Forex and Treasury, Retail Credit & Liability and SME/Corporate Credit.
Before joining SBI Funds Management Private Limited, he was in charge of revamping the entire Credit Structure and processes of the Bank. He has also been associated with SBI Capital Markets Limited, as President & Chief Operating Officer and Whole Time Director.
