Kirloskar Group launches ‘Made in Kirloskar’

Made In Kirloskar: Kirloskar Group Launches Initiative To Celebrate Engineering Excellence

The Kirloskar Group has rolled out a new initiative, ‘Made in Kirloskar’, to honour engineers, engineering, and India’s wider industrial evolution. The launch was accompanied by a film that charts how engineering innovation has contributed to national development and spotlights the people who have made these advances possible.

The film highlights the role of engineering in nation-building and global progress, and is timed with India’s rapid rise as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. The Group said ‘Made in Kirloskar’ will scale into a series of programmes over the next year, in collaboration with industry bodies, government stakeholders, and Pune’s manufacturing ecosystem.

Atul Kirloskar, Chairman of Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd and Kirloskar Industries Ltd, said the Group’s 135-year journey has been shaped by its founder’s belief that ideas must translate into action. He added that engineers continue to be at the heart of converting imagination into reality, a philosophy reflected in the ‘Made in Kirloskar’ initiative.

Rahul Kirloskar, Chairman of Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Ltd and Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Ltd, said the Group has consistently focused on indigenous innovation, delivering quality products that serve farms, factories, and cities worldwide. He noted that a Kirloskar product is sold every 20 seconds.

The Group also pointed to its many engineering milestones since 1888, including the iron plough, centrifugal pump, diesel engine, lathe, electric motor, and air compressors. It said Pune’s rise as a leading engineering and manufacturing hub can be traced to the Group’s early industrial presence, adding that the initiative marks the start of the Group’s next growth phase powered by engineering excellence and emerging technologies.
