The Rupee fell 16 paise to an all time low of 82.33 against the US dollar in early trade on Friday due to firmness in American currency and investors being influenced by risk-averse sentiments.
Besides, a negative trend in domestic indices and high crude oil prices weighed on the minds of investors leading to the fall of the Indian currency against the greenback.
On Thursday, the Rupee fell 55 paise to close at a record low of 82.17 against US Dollar.
At the interbank foreign exchange on Friday, the Rupee opened at 82.19 against the USD, then fell to 82.33 thereby falling 16 paise over the previous close.
The Dollar index, which gauges the greenback’s strength against a basket of six currencies, was trading 0.14 per cent down at 112.10.
