For the third day in succession, domestic indices continued to go up on Tuesday ahead of Q3 results of topmost IT players while ignoring rise in cases of Covid-19.
The 30-share pack Sensex jumped 221.26 points or 0.37 per cent to close at 60,616.89 while its broader peer Nifty gained 52.45 points or 0.29 per cent to 18055.75.
The highlight was that Adani Green hit the 52-week high and Greaves Cotton continued to hog the limelight in the Market. Vodafone Idea did not do well during the day.
The Gainers were Emami Paper Mills, Titagarh Wagons, Greaves Cotton, Prism Johnson, Adani Green Energy.
Among the losers were Vodafone Idea which fell 21 per cent to Rs 11.80 as Government was all set to become the largest shareholder of the company with 35.8 per cent stake following conversion of AGR dues into Equity.
The other losers were Hindustan Oil Exploration, Gabriel India and Shree Rama Multi-Tech.
