New Delhi, Nov 23 : The PHD Chambers of Commerce and Industry has hailed the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to withdraw 3 farm laws as “democratic” saying it indicated the dedication of the Government to the welfare of the farmers.
Mr Pradeep Multani, President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in a release here, said the Government’s decision to do away with the farm laws indicated it was people friendly and democratic.
The decision to form a committee to address the farm issues would go a long way in identifying the actual pain points of the farmers and help the government in making adequate farm policy to enhance the income of the farmers particularly the marginal ones who constitute 80 per cent of the farming community and hold less than two hectares of land, said Multani.
PHD Chamber looks forward to a great policy environment, which is for the benefit of each and every segment of the society and hopes that India would become a US$ 5 trillion economy in the coming times, Multani added.
