The exit polls are showing a clear majority for the incumbent government and that Narendra Modi led BJP government is going to have a second term. The majority of exit polls released after the conclusion of the 2019 national elections show that the BJP-led NDA will win 267-365 seats in the lower house of the Indian parliament, enough to form the next government.
ABP News-Nielsen exit poll has predicted that the BJP-led NDA will go past the halfway mark and get 277 seats of the 542 seats. The UPA is expected to win 130 seats.
The BJP had won 282 seats in 2014 and is projected to win 227 seats in 2019. While the Congress had won just 44 seats in 2014 and is predicted to win 87 seats.
The saffron party is expected to face losses in Uttar Pradesh, a state that the BJP has swept in the 2014 elections by winning 71 of the 80 seats, and Maharashtra. However, the BJP is expected to suffer some losses in West Bengal and Odisha.
