Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited receives the “Best Performing Utility” award 2019 from CBIP

Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) has been honoured with an award for the Best Performing Utility having integrated operation in Generation, Transmission & Distribution at Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) Awards 2019. AEML has been recognized for its outstanding contribution to the nation’s economy which was demonstrated through an excellent leadership in all facets of the power sector.

The award was conferred to Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) by the Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy, RK Singh during the celebration of CBIP Day 2019 on 04th, January 2019 and received by Arvind Kumar Sharma, Chief Operating Officer – Adani Transmission Ltd.

Commenting on the achievement, AEML Spokesperson said, “It is an honour to receive a national recognition of this stature from Central Board of Irrigation and Power. At AEML, we firmly believe that Electricity is more than just means to power one’s home or business. We are devoted to enhancing the reliability, quality and competitiveness of electricity, powering millions of lives in our Distribution area. We will continue to invest in technologies aiding in enhancing customer experience and improving efficiencies.”

Central Board of Irrigation & Power (CBIP) has been presenting awards since its inception in 1927 in order to recognize the outstanding contribution of various organizations, stakeholders & professionals and to promote excellence in the water, power and renewable energy sectors. In the past these prestigious awards have been presented by eminent dignitaries, such as Presidents and Prime Ministers of India, namely Dr. Zakir Hussain, VVGiri, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi, to name a few.
