Kirloskar Ebara Pumps Limited (KEPL)<\/a> announced the successful execution of 16 pump packages for the Paradip-Numaligarh Crude Oil Pipeline (PNCPL) Project. This project saw the installation of pumps from Paradip to Numaligarh, across four pumping stations, marking a significant milestone in India\u2019s energy infrastructure development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PNCPL Project, spearheaded by Numaligarh Refinery Ltd<\/a> (NRL), is a critical initiative aimed at expanding NRL\u2019s capacity from the current 3.0 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) to 9.0 MMTPA. This expansion is essential to meet India\u2019s increasing demand for petroleum products. A new crude pipeline has been developed to support this capacity enhancement, stretching 1,630 kilometers and encompassing four stations across multiple states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NREP Project is the single largest Investment in Northeast India as part of Government of India\u2019s \u2018Hydrocarbon Vision 2030 for North East India\u2019. The pipeline passes through five States traversing numerous enroute crossings including all major rivers of East India, namely Ganga, Jia Bharali, Subansiri, Brahmaputra through a technique called Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) with intersection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration between KEPL and NRL significantly contributed to the successful outcome of this extensive project. The scope of KEPL\u2019s contribution included supplying and installing 16 high-performance crude handling pumps as a part of one of the longest crude oil pipeline projects in India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project stands out as one of the most complex and critical specifications successfully undertaken by KEPL including High Torque (HT) drives, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Leak Detection Systems (LOS), Monitoring and Management Systems (MMS) as well as the integration of various state-of-the-art monitoring systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KEPL added that “The successful execution of the PNCPL Project demonstrates their expertise and reliability in handling large-scale, complex infrastructure projects in the industry.” in a statement issued in this development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
