New Delhi: State-owned Canara Bank<\/a> said on Wednesday that it was considering to split its equity shares to boost the stock\u2019s liquidity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision would be taken by the Board of Directors of the Canara Bank in a meeting which is scheduled to be held on February 26, the Bank said in a regulatory filing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting\u2019s agenda would be to seek in-principle approval of the Board of Directors to sub-divide or split the equity shares of the Canara Bank, the Bank said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, this would be subject to prior approval of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and other statutory\/regulatory\/government approvals, the Bank further said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
