to increase share of scrap in steel making to 50 % by 2047 : Minister"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Kolkata : The Union Government is planning to increase the share of scrap in steel making process to 50 per cent by 2047, Union Minister for Steel Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Minister emphasised on usage of scrap in steel making as manufacturing the metal through scrap and other waste products is less polluting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The minister termed the usage of scrap in steel making as \u201ca step towards green steel initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was speaking at the 11th international Material Recycling Conference in Kolkata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs per out our Ministry\u2019s vision 2047 document, in the next 25 years, the percentage of scrap will be 50 percent along with the balance 50 per cent as iron&nbsp;ore,\u201d&nbsp;he&nbsp;added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>India to increase share of scrap in steel making to 50 % by
