Domestic Indices countered the losses suffered by investors in the last four days and ended in the Green on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
BSE Sensex rose 198 ppoints or 0.38 per cent to close at 58,664 points while its broader peer NSE Nifty gained 86.80 points or 0.5 per cent to end at 17,503 points.<\/p>\n
Bank Nifty gained 0.4 per cent. Broader Markets outperformed with smallcap and midcap indices gaining 2 per cent each. India VIX, the volatile barometer rose 2.85 per cent to 18 levels.<\/p>\n
Among the gainers, the topmost was Power Grid, up 3.89 per cent, followed by NTPC, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel and Sun Pharma.<\/p>\n
Among the losers IndusInd Bank was the topmost, down by 2.59 per cent, followed by Asian Paints, Infosys, Bajaj Auto and Maruti Suzuki India.<\/p>\n
