Nifty was just below the 14,150 mark, Midcap index rose 1 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Infosys, HUL and Bank stocks led the market fall.<\/p>\n<p>Eighteen of the 30 Sensex stocks ended the day in the red.<\/p>\n<p>Among the index contributors were Infosys, HUL, ICICI Bank, Kotak Bank, ITC.<\/p>\n<p>The top index gainers included Bharti Airtel (3.60 per cent), IndusInd Bank (3.21 per cent), Axis Bank (2.37 per cent).<\/p>\n<p>The top index losers were Titan (1.92 per cent), Nestle (1.89 per cent), HUL (1.76 per cent),<\/p>\n<p>All BSE Sectoral indices except FMCG, IT, Utilities, Health Care and Power ended the day in the green.<\/p>\n<p>S&amp;P BSE METAL was the biggest Sectoral gainer, up 3.70 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>S&amp;P BSE FMCG was the biggest sectoral loser, down 1.07 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Among the volume toppers were Asian Paints, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, RIL, IndusInd Bank.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mumbai : The 30-pack Sensex touched a high of 48,558.34 and a low of 48,037.87 to finally settle at 48,093.32 at close.
