Twenty one of the 30 stocks ended the day in the green.<\/p>\n<p>The Index contributors were TCS, Infosys, HUL, HCL Tech and ICICI Bank.<\/p>\n<p>The top Index gainers were ONGC (4.13 per cent), TCS (3.17 per cent), HCL Teck (3.05 per cent).<\/p>\n<p>Among the top index losers were Kotak Bank (1.19 per cent), Bajaj Finance (1.14 per cent) and Asian Paints (0.72 per cent).<\/p>\n<p>All BSE Sectoral indices except banker and consumer durables ended the day in the green.<\/p>\n<p>S&amp;P BSE METAL was the biggest sectoral gainer, up 5.34 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>S&amp;P BSE Bankex was the biggest sectoral loser, down (0.15 per cent).<\/p>\n<p>Among the volume toppers were RIL, TCS, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, ITC.<\/p>\n<p>Nifty Metal gained over 5 per cent, most since April 30 and was the best sectoral performer.<\/p>\n<p>Nifty IT gained most in over 10 days, all stocks gained except Mphasis.<\/p>\n<p>Nifty PSE gained most in 20 days led by SAIL.<\/p>\n<p>Nifty Auto rose most in a month led by Ashok Leyland.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mumbai : The 30-pack Sensex on Monday touched a high of 48,220.47 and a low of 47,594.47 to finally settle ag 48,176.80.
