Mumbai : The 30-pack Sensex touched a high of 40,811.12 and registered a low of 40,590.90 to finally settle at 40,685.50.<\/p>\n
Financials and Auto led the Market rally, lifting the Sensex by 127 points. Eighteen of the 30 Sensex stocks closed the day in the green. Nifty closed at 11,930<\/p>\n
The main index contributors were Maruti, HDFC, ICICI Bank, ITC and M&M. Maruti climbed 4 per cent while M&M increased 3 per cent. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Among the top Index gainers were Maruti (4.29%), M&M (3.285), Tata Steel(3.215).
