June 16 : In the current fiscal, Gross Tax Collection fell by 31 per cent till June 15, however advance corporate tax garnered the declining 69 per cent, official sources said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Gross Tax collection declined 31 per cent to Rs 1,37,825 crores in the first quarter of FY 2021, registering a fall from Rs 1,99,755 crores in June 19 ending quarter, the sources said.<\/p>\n
In April and May this year, there was a nation-wide lockdown to prevent the spread of Coronavirus pandemic which resulted in closing down of country\u2019s economic activities.<\/p>\n
Even though the lockdown has been lifted, the economy is yet to return back to normalcy and slackness continues even now.<\/p>\n
The last day to pay advance tax was June 15.<\/p>\n
