{"id":4864,"date":"2019-04-23T05:48:28","date_gmt":"2019-04-23T05:48:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/financeintellect.com\/home-page\/home\/?p=4864"},"modified":"2019-04-23T05:48:28","modified_gmt":"2019-04-23T05:48:28","slug":"ilfs-to-give-its-wind-portfolio-to-gail-in-first-asset-sale-since-crisis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/financeintellect.com\/home-page\/home\/ilfs-to-give-its-wind-portfolio-to-gail-in-first-asset-sale-since-crisis\/","title":{"rendered":"IL&#038;FS to give its wind portfolio to GAIL in first asset sale since crisis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Debt-laden Infrastructure Leasing &amp; Financial Services (IL&amp;FS) April 22 announced that GAIL (India)\u00a0has emerged as the highest bidder for its seven operating wind power plants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The bidding process to these assets having 12 sites spread across seven states and was launched in November last year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company is the release said Gail&#8217;s offer of approximately Rs 4,800 crore for 100 percent enterprise value contemplates no hair-cut to the debt of the SPVs, aggregating to nearly Rs 3,700 crore.<\/p>\n<div class=\"hide-moblie mid-arti-ad\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div id=\"Moneycontrol_Mobile_WAP\/MC_WAP_News\/MC_WAP_News_Internal_OutStream\">These wind power assets have a total generation capacity of 874 MW. The proposal was approved by the committee of creditors of IL&amp;FS Wind Energy (IWEL), majority owner of the SPVs, it said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company said engagement with the ORIX Japan, the other shareholders in the SPVs, with regard to the proposal is in progress, and the deal is expected to close in three weeks, it said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The sale proceeds will be distributed as per the resolution framework filed with the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) by the government,the company said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The closure of the deal will be subject to approval of Justice (Retd) D K Jain and NCLT.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Uday Kotak-led board of IL&amp;FS group, as part of the resolution process has initiated sale of a number of group assets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sale process for assets including education, funds, roads and thermal power plant are currently underway and binding financial bids are expected for these companies in stages by May 2019, it said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Debt-laden Infrastructure Leasing &amp; Financial Services (IL&amp;FS) April 22 announced that GAIL (India)\u00a0has emerged as the highest bidder for its seven operating wind power plants.
