{"id":4779,"date":"2019-04-16T10:52:14","date_gmt":"2019-04-16T10:52:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/financeintellect.com\/home-page\/home\/?p=4779"},"modified":"2019-04-16T10:52:14","modified_gmt":"2019-04-16T10:52:14","slug":"i-t-dept-conducts-raids-at-dozen-premises-in-karnataka-on-charges-of-tax-evasion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/financeintellect.com\/home-page\/home\/i-t-dept-conducts-raids-at-dozen-premises-in-karnataka-on-charges-of-tax-evasion\/","title":{"rendered":"I-T dept conducts raids at dozen premises in Karnataka on charges of tax evasion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Income-Tax Department Tuesday said it has been conducting search warrants at about a dozen premises in Karnataka on charges of tax evasion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The raids are being conducted in state capital Bangalore, Hassan and Mandya and the department said the action is directed towards tax evaders and blackmoney generators.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Official sources, however, indicated that links of these persons with respect to ongoing polls will also be a part of the investigative operation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The searches are based on credible intelligence that certain businessmen have earned income not disclosed to tax and are in possession of undisclosed assets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Taxpayers included in the search operations are engaged in the business of real estate, quarrying and stone crushing, executing government contracts, operating petrol bunks, saw mill and managing cooperative banks, the department said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These are sectors,which have high concentration of black money.
