The company held a three hours intensive training workshop in Mumbai in collaboration with Retailers Association\u2019s Skill Council of India (RASCI) for its direct sellers to certify them as \u2018Individual Sales Professional\u2019 a certification based on National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) from National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Till date, Amway has certified its 8600 Direct Sellers as \u2018Individual Sales Professional\u2019 by conducting training programs all over India. Amway plans to scale the training and skilling initiatives and get 51,000 direct sellers certified by 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Amway India is credited as the first direct selling company to skill and certify its direct sellers, enhance their competencies and\u00a0 thus raise their standards of performance in the competitive landscape. The company recently has taken it up a notch higher by renewing its partnership with Retailers Association\u2019s Skill Council of India (RASCI) traction to benefit maximum number of direct sellers\u00a0 across the country, who\u00a0will be certified under the category of \u2018Individual Sales Professional.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the initiative,\u00a0Achinta Banerjie, Head of Sales, Amway India\u00a0said, \u201cThe direct selling industry follows a non-retail format leveraging the communication and sales skills of the direct sellers. While the industry is growing at an exponential pace with lakhs of Indians have been leveraging the opportunity to become entrepreneurs, this certainly makes skilling important to maximize sales proceesds. Maharashtra is amongst the top 10 markets for Amway India, growing at a healthy rate and hence it is imperative for us to enhance the skills of our direct sellers to sell our products. Amway provides free training to its direct sellers which\u00a0enables them to engage and educate the customers and offer the right products to them to suit their varied needs. Today\u2019s workshop is a natural extension to empower our direct sellers and thus enhance their efficiencies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the association, <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2365\" src=\"http:\/\/financeintellect.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Amway-India-350x210.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"210\" \/>, Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Amway India\u00a0said, \u201cMicro Entrepreneurship and self-employment through skilling are key priorities for the government of India.
