In his strive to change the lives of the underprivileged, in less than two decades, Mr. Ghosh has created many success stories through his NGO, NBFC and finally, Bandhan Bank.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0Ghosh was elected as a \u2018Senior Ashoka Fellow\u2019 \u2013 a social entrepreneurship award \u2013 in 2007 by Ashoka Foundation. Since then, he has received a string of awards in recognition of his leadership, creativity and contribution in the field of inclusive finance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">For instance, in 2014, he won the Forbes India Leadership Awards in the category \u2018Entrepreneur with Social Impact\u2019. He was also declared \u2018Entrepreneur of the Year\u2019 by India\u2019s leading business daily\u00a0<em>The Economic Times<\/em>\u00a0in the same year.
