This is in line with the company\u2019s committed plans to establish its footprint in Tier 1 cities across India by 2020. With this launch, Smarterhomes will be functional in 7 cities including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Coimbatore.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>India has over 15 million apartment units in 55 cities currently. All over the world, there are more than 50 million apartment units having an apparent need for a water metering solution. With the ever increasing urban population, there has been a huge rise in demand for apartments and residential complexes in cities across the world, thereby posing a massive pressure on the amount of water supply needed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Vivek Shukla, CEO and Co-Founder, Smarterhomes Technologies\u00a0said, \u201cWe are happy about the growing awareness among consumers on the need to take action to safeguard from an apparent water crisis.\u00a0\u00a0In less than four months, we have received enquiries from over 200 apartment complexes in Pune & Mumbai region. \u00a0<\/span>Started by Kasturi Rangan and Vivek Shukla in 2014, Smarterhomes empowers individual users to monitor, control and optimize their water consumption in real time. Smarterhomes\u2019 core product \u2018WaterOn\u2019 is a robust solution that measures water consumption in individual apartments. WaterOn, an IoT product, is an automated smart water meter offering accurate metering, leak prevention, and long life. It\u2019s the only end-to-end solution providing real time readings to the consumers to help them prevent wastage and save money. Funded by Macquarie Bank Ltd, London, Smarterhomes has installed 15000 meters across Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.
