Ingersoll Rand participated in the 9th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2019 in Gandhinagar. The summit was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Narender Modi and saw participation from various industries, key policy makers, think tanks etc. With the theme ‘Shaping a New India’, the summit serves as a platform to leverage Gujarat’s manufacturing leadership in India and aims for the state to become economically and socially the most developed state in India by 2030.
Amar Kaul, Chairman and Managing Director, Ingersoll Rand India Ltd. was invited by the Govt. of Gujarat to be a part of the panel discussion on Industrial Corridors, Industrial Parks and Industry 4.0 under the ‘Make in India’ session of the summit. He was joined by other dignitaries like Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog, Deepak Bagla, MD & CEO, Invest India, Michael Train, President, Emerson & Chairman, Emerson Automation Solutions to name a few.
Speaking on the occasion, Amar Kaul, Chairman and Managing Director, Ingersoll Rand India Ltd. said “We are happy to be part of a visionary event such as Vibrant Gujarat for the last couple of years. During the panel discussion, Amar further commented that, “India is on its way to become the largest manufacturing economies in the world as industry 4.0 is transforming the manufacturing landscape. Industry 4.0 is the key to unlocking competitiveness, improve productivity, responsiveness and customer satisfaction and India should embrace this proactively to achieve the target of becoming a global manufacturing hub.”
