Nokia to join hands with Airtel to put the 5G connection for trial

Bharati Airtel has joined forced with Nokia, the Finnish telecom company to conduct a trial for 4G and 5G and enterprises services.

This could give a futuristic approach to Bharati Airtel. Since, 5G is the near future, this could help Bharati Airtel carve a niche for itself. It could also create a digital revolution in internet speeds.

Randeep Sekhon, CTO at Bharti AirtelNSE 0.83 %, said in a statement that the upgrade of the transport network is also essential to cater to the booming consumption of mobile broadband services and enable world-class digital services.

Nokia also said that it is determining a solution to improve the quality of Airtel’s current network. It has also started preparing its 5G network as well as to meet future demands. This will help local service providers cater to the increasing demands of their customers while not straining their resources.

Front haul is the base band unit and radio, and modernization on this part of the transport network is crucial to deliver a higher speed and lower latency of 5G services. Nokia converged front haul transport helps reduce fibre requirement through multi-channels bi-directional transmission on one single fibre.

Sanjay Malik, head of market at Nokia, said that modernization of the transport infrastructure is essential for ensuring high-speed and extremely low latency as ensured by 5G.
