Gold trades cautiously ahead of US-China trade talk outcome

Both the precious metals were traded range bound in international markets on Monday. Gold settled at $1289.90 per troy ounce up by 0.25% while silver settled at $15.756 per troy ounce down by 0.01%.

Domestic markets were settled positive. Gold settled at Rs.31648 per 10 gram with the gain of 0.61% and MCX Silver settled at 39222 per 1 kilogram with the gain of 0.13%. Officials from Washington and Beijing kicked off talks in China’s capital on Monday in the first face-to-face meeting since President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in December agreedto a 90-day truce in their trade war.
