Central Railway General Manager inspects Mumbai Division

DK Sharma, General Manager, Central Railway along with AK Jain, Commissioner of Railway Safety (Central Circle), Principal Heads of Departments of Central Railway, and SK Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Division recently conducted annual inspection of Mumbai Division (Panvel-Roha section) .

Sharma inspected the Station manager’s chamber, Circulating area, Gents & Ladies waiting hall, Medical and Safety stalls, CMS system, Railway Colony, Gang Hut etc, at Roha, Pen,  Apta and Panvel stations.

He also inspected the Green Power station, Solar Power system, Solar pump, Water cooler and Energy Management System with LED lights and energy efficient fans at these  stations.

He also reviewed the construction work in progress and the work of doubling of tracks at Roha, inspected Bhise tunnel between Roha and Nagothane, Girder bridge between Pen and Jite and various Points and Level Crossing gates.

A speed run of 120 kmph was also successfully conducted on the Nagothane- Pen section.

Later Sharma also inspected RPF CCTV control room, selfie point with solar tree, Hindi library and exhibition at Panvel. He also reviewed the Handbook on Bombardier rakes and work of DFCCIL.

He  met public representatives and passenger associations at Roha and Panvel and discussed rail related issues

He lauded the efforts of Mumbai Division for maintaining the section very well and sanctioned many individual and group awards for meritorious work done by staff and officers of Division.
